Nykr

 Nykr

[nik-r]

Nykr are fae creatures which inhabit lakes, pools and deep rivers. They appear as nubile, young women whose skin has a bluish-green hue. Their feet are webbed, and their hair is black or silvery white. Whilst not intentionally malevolent, encountering a Nykr is fraught with peril, for they are fascinated by mortals. So much so that they greatly desire young male humans, and lure them into the water to mate. But in doing so, the mortal is always drowned in the process, leaving the Nykr bereft, and so the Nykr eternally seeks a mate in an unending cycle of desire and death.

The Nykr will first attempt to charm the target.  The Nykr must make a successful check against their charisma [18] minus the target's wisdom bonus.

If this succeeds, the target may attempt a save versus spell to resist.

Once subject to charm, the target will not be able to resist entering the water.

Only males can be affected by the Nykr's charm.

Lover's embrace

Once in the water, the Nykr will hold onto the target and pull them down under the water. After 1d4 rounds, the target will begin to drown, suffering D6+6 damage each round.

After the first round of drowning, the Charm is broken and the target may attempt to break free.

Breaking Free

Both the Nykr and the Target roll a D6 + strength bonus [Nykr has no STR bonus].  Highest wins. Breaking free may be repeatedly attempted as long as the target remains alive.

If the target manages to break free, the Nykr will not attempt to grab the target again.  It will assume it has been spurned and leave.
