Whilst I often use a Charisma ability check for situations of charm, intimidation or persuasion, reaction rolls are my go to for wandering encounters, and some other situations. I prefer this slightly more nuanced table from BECMI than the single roll version in B/X.

TBH, this is reaction chart tyaken directly from BECMI. I hadn't given the point allocation much thought. I'll probbaly leave as is for now and review for season 2 (if I ever get there! :-) )
