Hag

Hags are malign, fey creatures, imbued with innate magic. They look like parodies of old human women. They typically stand between 5' and 6' tall, with elongated limbs and exaggerated facial features. Hags are often found on the edges of rural communities, often in covens of up to 4 (usually) related Hags.  They prey on human children or young female adults whom they lure away from the safety of their homes, through trickery, charms or simple kidnap.  The hags eat their victims as a way of sustaining their own lives, each victim extends the hags unnatural lifespan. Hags will also drink the blood of their victims, which in turn gives the hag a temporary illusionary appearance of a beautiful young woman. In doing so, the Hag will then attempt to mate with an adult Human male; the offspring of such an unholy union, if female, will eventually become another Hag, whereas male offspring are born as goblins.

Hags can take on the appearance of a beautiful young woman by drinking the blood of children or young adults.  The illusion lasts 24 hours for every pint of blood consumed

Betwitch

Hags can cast a modified version of the first-level spell, Charm Person.

Betwitch has all the same effects of Charm Person with the following differences:
  • The hag appears to the charmed creature as a normal person of their species, and at the Hag's suggestion may appear as someone known to the charmed creature. The hag's true appearance is invisible to them
  • The person will obey any command which does not directly result in self-harm, this may force the charmed creature to act in a manner contrary to their habits, beliefs or alignment
